Foo Fighters, Kaisers, Hozier all set for Slane

MCD are delighted to confirm Foo Fighters will headline a concert at Slane Castle on Saturday 30th May, with special guests Kaiser Chiefs & Hozier, plus more acts to be announced.

Foo Fighters sold 300,000 tickets in the UK last Friday, which include 160,000 tickets across two sold out shows at Wembley Stadium. Sonic Highways, their eighth studio album released to critical acclaim on 10th November.  Having sold in excess of 16x Platinum in Ireland, the new Foo Fighters album blazed in to the Irish Top 5.  Sonic Highways was recorded in eight different musical capital cities of America, with the process and related experiences documented in an eight-part docuseries available for purchase direct from the band at: http://buy.foofighters.com.

Kaiser Chiefs returned with their fifth studio album ‘Education, Education, Education and War’ last May, which went to Number 1 in the UK charts.Kaiser Chiefs will also join Foo Fighters as special guests in South Africa in December and South America in January. Kaiser Chiefs have sold over 3 million albums in the UK and over a million singles including their hits ‘I Predict A Riot’ and ‘Ruby’. 

Hozier released his debut No 1 album last September. It is still at number four in album charts nine weeks later. Hozier’s sold out Irish shows kick off next week. His 20 date US tour in February & March including shows at The Beacon Theatre and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York are all sold out. Hozier’s current hit single ‘Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene’ is out now.

More acts will be announced – there will be five acts in total.
