REVIEW: THE COUTH – FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER

THE COUTH

Friday Night Fever, the tertiary offering by THE COUTH harkens back to some old school rock ‘n roll. It’s a fresh blend of post punk and early New York punk scene sensibilities and sounds. Think Green Day with a touch of The Ramones.

Vocally, if you’re a fan of The Violent Femmes, you’ll dig this.

Playful, unexpected guitar changes are an appealing highlight, particularly on 45 Seconds, and Pretty Lady. And Wild Notion features a tidy bass solo, and is my personal favorite. This is a party EP full of head banging, boot stomping, mosh pit fun. Noelle Ellis, GiggingNI
