Julian Cope Cancels Belfast Show

julian-cope-_largeJulian Cope, singer of 1970’s band The Teardrop Explodes, has announced he will have to pull out of his ‘Out to Lunch’ Festival appearance in Belfast. His website states it was ‘circumstances beyond his control’ . He was due to appear on the 16th January as part of the Cathedral Quarter Arts annual festival.

A statement on their website concludes, “We are hugely sorry to have to announce that Julian Cope has cancelled his Belfast appearance on January 16. We have been given a statement from Julian which reads: ‘It is with regret that I feel obliged to cancel my forthcoming Belfast show of January 16th due to the current security situation there and the logistics involved. I’m very sorry about this.’ JULIAN”

All ticket holders will be refunded directly onto credit cards or from Visit Belfast if purchased by cash.”
