Plain Zebra – Self-Titled

Plain Zebra ArtworkBrickland‘s finger-snapping bass notes invite you in like the doorman of a down and dirty blues club. On the scene comes a playful duel between electric guitar and harmonica; like a beautifully choreographed bar fight. Mr White is like Brickland’s smoother, jazzier, old brother. Smoky, sexy guitar andbass heating it up until the vocals drift in to cool things down.

As for I’ve Seen the Devil, I did a double take to make sure it was the same band. Such a different sound from Brickland; a fascinating mix of traditional Irish and heavy metal. Mod meets moshpit is the best way to describe Coffee. This caffeine fuelled track makes you want to don your go-go boots and dance until you drop. Noelle Ellis,
