YouTube Sensation Ewan Dobson Visits Belfast + WIN!

LiveWire Workshops, a series of masterclasses and gigs presented by Amped Promotions and The Crescent Arts Centre, presents YouTube sensation Ewan Dobson who will be performing in Belfast on 7th February 2014. Started in March 2013, LiveWire has welcomed some of the worlds greatest guitar playing talent to Belfast such as Doug Aldrich and Michael Devin (Whitesnake), Steve Vai, Greg Howe (Michael Jackson, Rob Harris (Jamiroquai), Carl Verheyen (Supertramp) amongst many others.

Every once in a while you come across something on the internet that makes you go “wow.” It may be a video, picture, song, band, or anything of the sort. In this case, it’s the amazing virtuosity of fingerstyle guitarist Ewan Dobson. Ewan Dobson performs finger picking at it’s finest. In addition to his fiery fingerstyle technique, audiences will be enthralled by Ewan´s compositional prowess. He creates classic music, modern music and everything in between with only his guitar and finger picking. No bass, no drums, no vocals; nothing. It’s just a one man show, and quite honestly, that’s all you need.  Audiences can expect masterful command of the acoustic guitar performed like no other can or has yet.

Ewan finished off 2013 with performances in China and Japan, which included laying down acoustic guitar tracks for the song, “Horrors” on the new Marty Friedman albumInferno due out in May.

Time 2 from Ewan´s second album became his most successful song.  It became a viral video hit on the internet acquiring over 14 million views. The song reached #1 on the iTunes charts in Finland, Germany and Sweden.  It also reached #2 in Austria, #3 in Japan and the Netherlands, #4 in New Zealand and #5 in Denmark.
