Join You in the Sun by Proxist is atomic particles colliding in beautifully orchestrated chaos. Car crash metal guitars and screamo metal vocals are punctuated by rapid machine gun fire, double time drum riffs.
The piercing guitar solo at the bridge is the barbed wire that ties this piece together. Vocally I am reminded of the band 12 Stones. Listening to Proxist is like getting a tattoo; you’re pierced and bleeding and all in the name of a lasting work of art. And anyone who’s been inked knows once you’ve started, you’ll have to go back for more. Noelle Ellis, GiggingNI.com
