1921926_712747668778243_1737025354_nA group of teenage promoters are ready to bring you some great new music at Oh Yeah Centre, Belfast.

The new Volume Control team, who were recruited through an application process earlier this month, will promote and host their first all ages gig on Saturday 22nd March.

The event will be the first in a series of Volume Control gigs in 2014, which will showcase emerging talent from across Belfast and beyond. The team will be responsible for planning, organising and promoting these events under the guidance of Oh Yeah mentors.

The first gig on the calendar will take place on a Saturday afternoon as part of the ‘Family Friendly’ initiative during the month of March.

The line up features The Late Twos, who are no strangers to Volume Control, having performed at previous events, and the fantastic Hurdles who will be making their first VC appearance at Oh Yeah. The Quartel a band that impressed a sold out crowd at last year’s ‘Clash of the New Breeds’ competition will follow the open mic, which is aimed at 14-18 year old solo acts.

Open mic slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis, and requests should be e-mailed to

All this is free, live, family friendly, and a great way to spend your Saturday afternoon.
