Ciaran Bartlett – Circles

ciaranbartlettCircles, the follow up EP to Fool Me resumes acoustic guitars and vocals. These tracks too are profoundly tender moments like ticket stubs and photographs captured in a scrapbook of melodic memory.

The title track Circles, a raw, but sweet and melancholy song about moving on. Mates reminisces the girl that got away. And Wine, Smile, Repeat is a clever tune about one night love; with an ellipses…

Secrets and Found are about falling into and then out of love, wrapping things up nicely with Homefires, about coming home. This no-frills approach requires the listener to slow it down, have a listen. Maybe even put some headphones on and tune out the fast paced whirl of modern life. Therefore, I suggest just that; slow it down, and have a listen. Noelle Ellis,
