The Waterboys and Jools set to perform at Sligo Live

sligoliveThe Waterboys and Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra – Two legends, plus 80 performances over 6 days, now that’s a festival not to be missed.

Normally, Sligo Live tickets do not go on sale until March, so announcing both The Waterboys and Jools Holland in December was a treat for fans. Festival Producer, Rory O’Connor believes “This combination seems to have caught the imagination, Already, we have sold half our allocation of early bird weekend tickets. The €116 early bird price is great value, as the weekend ticket also covers The Waterboys, Jools Holland, the 3 nights Festival Club Artists shows and all Sligo Live concerts which last year numbered 80 performances over 6 days.”

O’Connor added, “Sligo Live is a major event on the Wild Atlantic Way and Failte Ireland encouraged us to go on sale early for people booking a weekend away, particularly U.K. visitors jetting into Ireland West, Knock.”

joolsholland“Individual tickets are also flying.” said O’Connor; “Waterboys standing tickets are only €40.50 and there are a limited number of seated tickets at €47.95.” He added “Personally, I’d prefer to stand for this show. Mike Scott, and co. are gifted performers and certainly know just how to get a crowd going. With a back catalogue like theirs, there will be over a thousand vocalists at that gig, I can’t wait.”

SLIGO LIVE:  Ireland’s Folk, Roots & Indie Festival enters a second decade of quality music on the Wild Atlantic Way from 21st – 26th October 2015.
