Ed Sheeran has announced that he will play Croke Park in Dublin on 24th July 2015.
Following four consecutive sold out nights at 3Arena, Dublin last October, Ed Sheeran has confirmed he will return to Ireland this summer.
The multi-platinum selling, Grammy & Brits nominated singer-songwriter, who has already made history this summer as the first ever solo artist to play at Wembley Stadium with 3 shows sold out and over a quarter of a million tickets sold, announced today he will play Croke Park on Friday 24 July.
Masterfully blending soulful vocals with organic folk introspection and irresistible hip-hop hooks, Ed Sheeran has enjoyed a meteoric rise to become a genuine global phenomenon. His critically acclaimed and hugely successful 2011 debut “+” entered the U.K. Albums Chart at No 1 with the highest opening week figures for a debut male solo artist ever. His colossal second studio album ‘x’ has sold 6 million copies worldwide and has hit the No 1 spot 11 times in the Irish Official Albums Chart: it hasn’t left the Top 10 since its release in June 2014 and celebrated its 9 times platinum sales record. Next up Ed & Hackney four-piece Rudimental, will release their new single ‘Bloodstream’ on 27 March.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday 26 February at 9am from Ticketmaster and all usual outlets Nationwide.
