The top gear, southern rock fuelled ‘Fight Life’ opens Trucker’s latest offering with grand aplomb, showcasing their fine ability to craft an anthem. ‘Party Like They Started the End of the World’ blows the roof off and it’s their true-to-their-word, big hitting, no holds barred riffs that keeps this truck rolling.
But it’s more high stool and sit down than “Drink Beer, Destroy” during ‘When Angels Fly’ and ‘Don’t Cry’ but the equally steady ‘Murder Ballad’ blows away the impression of ‘less action, less quality’ as this could easily be Diablo’s finest song to date.
‘Stand Song’ also looks set to be erected alongside the best of Trucker Diablo’s back catalogue. With yet another solid release, no doubt to reap it’s fair share of recognition, Trucker Diablo looks set to become a national treasure. Mark Dunn, GiggingNI.com
