Torche & The Bronx set for co-headline

thebronxTHE BRONX & TORCHE have announced that they’ll play a very special DOUBLE HEADLINE SHOW at The Limelight 1 on Wednesday May 27th, combining their respective solo headline shows scheduled for the date!

Los Angeles hardcore punk band The Bronx’s swaggering interpretation of hardcore punk found them a quick audience when guitarist Joby J. Ford, bassist James Tweedy, vocalist Matt Caughthran, and drummer Jorma Vik founded the band in 2002. Known for a blistering live show, the quintet attracted attention from major labels after only a handful of performances. An offer from Island/Def Jam materialized after The Bronx’s 12th gig, but the band decided to issue several recordings on its own label, White Drugs, before partnering with a major. They have released four eponymous rock albums, and three additional albums of mariachi music under the alter ego Mariachi El Bronx.

Florida outfit Torche have announced a show at Limelight 2 Belfast for Wednesday 27th May 2015. The Sludge metal outfit Torche will release their fourth studio album, Restarter, on February 24th via new label Relapse Records. The follow-up to 2012’s Harmonicraft was recorded in the band’s hometown of Miami, Florida and was self-produced by bassist Jonathan Nuñez. Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou handled the mixing process.
