ICONS Festival has confirmed Nicola Roberts, BBC Radio One DJ Phil Taggart and Emma Horan as speakers as this year’s event which runs from 24th to 27th September at Titanic Quarter.
Singer/Songwriter Nicola Roberts has graduated from being part of one of the most iconic girl groups in British pop history to now becoming an icon across fashion, television and the world of business. Currently penning hits for global music stars, Nicola has also found success in her Harrods exclusive cosmetic range “Dainty Doll”. She’ll be joined by local singer/songwriter Emma Horan, an internet sensation with a colossal 91,000+ followers on her personal Facebook page, 31,000+ on her artist’s page and over 11,000 YouTube subscribers. Emma’s following is not just down to sheer luck, with her exceptional talent the teen is also demonstrating how best to exploit new media in order to distribute content and build a dedicated worldwide fanbase.
To top it off they have BBC Radio 1 DJ Phil Taggart, the Omagh born native who ascended with ease through the ranks of BBC Northern Ireland to become one of the youngest faces tearing up the airwaves on BBC Radio. Phil’s at the forefront of what’s happening in new music, graduating from co-presenting a show with Alice Levine to being handed his own dedicated show. An active member within the music industry, Phil also runs a record label Hometown Records with co-business partner.
