Open House Festival brought together four of the finest artists in the contemporary Spanish Flamenco scene for this all-Ireland exclusive concert in the stunning setting of Bangor Abbey.
At the age of just 29 Rocío Márquez is already an award-winning and internationally acclaimed star of flamenco singing, an authority on the tradition, and well on her way to legendary status in her home country. Between recording albums for Universal Records, she performs at festivals and concerts throughout the world.
Rocío was accompanied by Miguel Ángel Cortés, one of the leading contemporary Spanish guitar players, and a winner of the most prestigious music prizes including the Paco de Lucía Award. Los Mellis are Antonio and Manuel Montes Saavedra, twins born in 1982 in Huelva, who have toured the world and built an internationally renowned profile for their rhythmic clapping and creative backing vocals.
Our photographer Julianne Rouquette was there to capture the night on photos.
