Declan Sinnott of Horslips and Moving Hearts – To Play Belfast in October
World renowned Irish Guitarist, Producer, Songwriter and Folk Legend Declan Sinnott is touring Ireland and the UK promoting his new album ‘Window On The World’.
As part of this tour, he will appear in Belfast’s Black Box, accompanied by singer Vickie Keating, on October 7th 2015.
Declan was a founding member of Horslips and Moving Hearts and has also guided the career of Mary Black for over thirteen years.
Despite making music for nearly fifty years, his first solo album “I love the noise it makes” was only recorded aged 62. “Window on the World” is Declan’s second album and was released May 15th 2015. All the songs on the album were either written by Declan or co-written with his good friend Owen O’Brien. Declan says of Owen “ He doesn’t work as a musician, he has too much sense!”
The album was recorded at Declan’s own home studio. Declan played all of the instruments, and all of the harmonies on “Window on the World” were sung by Vickie Keating.
He has worked as a guitarist and producer for Christy Moore for over thirty years and regularly appears with him on tour. During April, May and June, Declan will be on tour with Christy for Irish and UK dates as well as his own headline shows.
