REVIEW: SILVER’S GOT STRINGS – HOMEGROWN
Silver’s Got Strings tout their sound as crunchy folk, which may be a bit misleading particularly on the track Homegrown. This is more rock than folk.
Admittedly, there is a folksy bent on the opening guitar and percussion riffs; however, when those smoky alt-rock vocals come blasting in, well, it’s a game changer. Think Chris Cornell for comparison.
That gravelly voice paired with the speedy metal riff changes will make it difficult to decide what genre to place this track onto your playlist, nevertheless, adding it your playlist is highly recommended. Noelle Ellis, GiggingNI
