Pony Panto trots back into the MAC Belfast
The hugely popular pony panto made its glitzy return to the MAC for its annual Christmas off-the-wall comedy show.
The talented comedy-dance-theatre troupe ponydance have ramped up this year’s show and will take to the stage with a live band, dancers, great costumes, bad taste special guests and your incorrigible host ‘Leonie Ponie’. It will run until Saturday 19th December 2015.
pony panto has become something of a Christmas phenomenon, suggesting that parents aren’t content to leave all the fun to the children. Now in its fourth year, the MAC has extended the run as it always sells out. There are still a few tickets left so get in quick. With legions of loyal fans coming back year after year to revel in the hedonistic world of pony panto, adult audiences are treated to a show filled with humour, skits and lots of weird and wonderful performances, the likes of which you won’t see anywhere else.

The ever industrious ponydance, champions of comedy dance theatre, who you may have seen on their very own documentary on TG4, have performed to less than ten people in parish halls and over ten thousand people in the Aviva Stadium. Based in Ireland and Northern Ireland, touring the world and drinking tea, ponydance are good looking, funny, charming and now, award winning.

There’s a loyal fan base for our fabulous adults-only pony panto and it’s become something of a Christmas tradition at the MAC. If you haven’t been, you really should – it sells out every year, suggesting that even the grown-ups are in need of a bit of fun at Christmas.

To make a night of it, you can also enjoy the MAC’s restaurant and bar, NATIVE by Yellow Door who will be serving up festive cocktails, sharing platters and much more. Every weekend night there’ll be a late DJ from 10.30pm to keep the party going after the show.
