Bizet’s Carmen set for the Waterfront Hall in April
Belfast Waterfront brings you world class opera in the shape of Bizet’s Carmen on Tuesday 19 April 2016.
Seville comes to Belfast courtesy of a fabulous company of international soloists, highly praised chorus and full orchestra.
This dazzling production features Bizet’s unforgettable score with one breathtaking melody after another, including the Habanera, the Seguidilla, the Flower Song, the Chanson Boheme and perhaps the best-known baritone aria of all, the Toreador’s Song.
Hailed as the most seductive opera ever written, Carmen is the story is of the bewitching gypsy girl whose tantalising beauty lures a soldier to desertion and leads to her own murder.
A fabulously authentic stage set will transport you to the stunning architecture of Seville and its main square with Roman and Moorish influences.
