“Two great acoustic acts took to the stage at Voodoo on 4th November, which presented a more chilled-out and intimate setting compared to the riff-fests that usually engulf the room weekly.
JP [of Amidships] kick off the evening with his emotive songs and a stage presence similar to that of Jeff Mangum [Neutral Milk Hotel].
He was followed by the smooth reggae acoustic tunes of Joe Fox with its steady rhythms and mellow feel. Both artists expressed passion note by note, engaging the listener’s ears with every verse and chorus. An interesting and well suited juxtaposition.”
