New Year's Eve Belfast 2016

Fancy music-themed New Year’s Eve celebrations?

Now Christmas is over, you might want to focus on New Year’s Eve if you’re keen to party the night away. What will you do – or more importantly, where will you go?

We’ve had a look around and here’s a round-up of events that may interest your musical genes.

Empire Hall

After last year’s sell-out event, they’re back! NI Soul Troop’s ‘Suited & Booted’ New Year’s Eve special with special guests Pocket Billiards, Aggressors BC & Buzz Sound DJs. Tickets on sale for this one priced £15. No doubt, it’ll be another classic. Ticket info here.

Black Box

So 2016 was a major bummer with the ridiculous amount of lives taken (Bowie, Prince & many others) and, as they say, all we got in return was “Brexit, Trump and Toblerones that laugh in the face of all that is good.” Celebrate with themed drinks, live music from Goldie Fawn and Owen McGarry playing their favourite heroes and villain songs, and that annual New Year’s Countdown. Event info here.

Oh Yeah Music Centre

To celebrate the 10th Year of Oh Yeah Music Centre, they have announced ‘Terri Hooley’s Hootenanny’ for 31st December 2016. Kicking off at 9pm, DJs include the man himself Terri Hooley, Stuart Bailie and Ian Morrison and include a bar service for the Over 18s. Worth considering, eh? Ticket info here.
