Working class hero JP Cooper began singing in his Manchester home town with the local Manchester International Voices Choir and since then has become one of the country’s most exciting new talents.
Already in his short career, he’s been responsible for 6 million sales, the first being the Jonas Blue smash ‘Perfect Strangers’ which he wrote, and the second being his own inimitable ‘September Song’ which has so far had 1.3 million global sales.
Now he’s about to set the world alight with his intoxicating new single ‘Passport Home’, an inspirational, emotionally uplifting song that effortlessly showcases his gospel tinged vocals and evocative lyrics.

It works on so many levels that it’s a classic in waiting. From the whistling intro to the plaintive ‘keep the light on’ chorus, it’s destined to be the soundtrack of the summer.
No stranger to the live arena, JP has already sold out London shows at The Village Underground, Koko and the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the 25th May. Currently touring Europe, he is fast becoming an incredible live performer. His many fans already include Stormzy and Shawn Mendes.
JP Cooper is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album. He plays at the Mandela Hall on 1st June 2017.
