Belfast rock band R51 change name to Wynona Bleach
Belfast-based Independent rock band R51 have officially changed their name to Wynona Bleach.
Finding success locally with their Alternative rock/gaze pop EP’s “Pillow Talk” and “NO CHILL” – the band officially changed their name to Wynona Bleach on Jan 21st, 2018, to mark this occasion they released a new track named “Eyes Burning” ((video below).
They ended 2017 by embarking on a 12 date tour of Russia, where they performed 12 headline shows across 5,000 miles, spanning as far east as Glazov and Cheboksary, and ending in Moscow.
The band originally reached notoriety in 2015 when they performed at Reading and Leeds festivals on the BBC introducing stages, and in 2016 at a sold-out Ulster Hall for the live broadcast for the 30th anniversary of BBC Introducing show “Across the Line”.
Wynona Bleach are entirely independent, and have released and recorded all of their music to date on their own record label.
