Big Wild Showcase’s Derry Girls takeover in March

Local music collective Big Wild’s monthly showcases have been a hub for the alternative’s night life in Belfast since it began back in October. The fourth showcase is on March 1st with a bit of a Derry girls takeover – featuring rock-pop band Susie Blue, electro-pop multi-instrumentalist ROE and an exhibition from photography artist Audrey Gillespie, all three hailing from the north west city!

Catching Susie-Blue in the middle of her ‘Didn’t Mean To Care’ debut album tour, and ROE just as she releases her newest single ‘Wasted.Patient.Thinking’ it is quite a line up. Fans of Wolf Alice and Pale Waves will adore Susie Blue’s addictively indie-rock, dreamy guitar sound, while ROE is a confident electro-pop artist for fans of Christine And The Queens. Both musicians write mega pop hooks delivered in an alternative way and are rising Irish indie stars.

Kick off the night with Audrey Gillespie’s ’Not Drag’ photo series while being serenaded by a chill-DJ set from Big Wild as part of Late Night Art. Big Wild have a famed ‘party set’ to close the night too!

Join the double-release party on March 1st in The Menagerie with doors at 9pm – event page here.
