Guide: Getting Tickets for BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend
BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend visits the Titanic Slipways in Belfast on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th May 2018. For all the information on the event, you can find it on the official BBC website here.
Tickets go on sale Monday 12th February at 10am priced £18 per person (+£4.50 booking fee) for a day ticket for one event. Those aged 2 years and under do not require a ticket and will be permitted to attend for free when accompanied by an adult aged 18+.
How are tickets allocated?
Staging each event would be impossible without the help and support of the local councils in each location and a number of tickets (Pot 1) will initially be reserved for residents of the respective council area.
A second set of tickets (Pot 2) will be reserved for others living in the wider surrounding area of each event, with the remainder unreserved (Pot 3).
Please note, to apply for tickets in Pots 1 or 2 you will need to enter the postcode of your home address at the time of purchase in the ‘Enter Offer Code’ box on Ticketmaster. You will be asked for the billing address of the credit card used to book tickets, and further checks will be made to verify your details. If the card is not registered at the address / postcode used when applying for tickets from Pot 1 or 2 you will be asked for proof to verify that you are a resident of the respective area for each Pot. Tickets obtained by using false addresses may be cancelled without notice.
Pots 1 and 2 will be in operation for 7 days from 12th February until midday on Monday 19th February – in the unlikely event that tickets from pots 1 and 2 do not sell out, any unsold tickets will be moved to Pot 3 and put on general sale at this point for anyone to purchase.
The tickets will be divided into three ‘pots’:
1. Pot 1 – 45% of tickets will be reserved for those who live in the areas covered by Belfast City Council.
2. Pot 2 – 40% of tickets will be reserved for residents living in the rest of Northern Ireland.
3. Pot 3 – The remaining 15% will be unreserved.
A limited number of tickets for the events in Belfast will also be sold over the counter via Ticketmaster outlets. These outlets will be allocated tickets from pots 1 and 2.
Is there a limit to the number of tickets that I can purchase for BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend?
You can only purchase tickets for one day, and one location at a time and there will be a strict ticket limit of up to 4 tickets per person, per credit card, per day for all events.
You can, subject to availability, purchase tickets for a second day, or second location, once your first transaction has been completed.
