Ryan McMullan to headline Singer Songwriter Sunday at Harmony Live

THE Sunday night lineup at Harmony Live 18 has been announced with Northern Ireland singer songwriter Ryan McMullan in the headlining slot.

He’ll be supported by Joshua Burnside, Michael Kerr and Rebekah Fitch in Holywood, County Down as part of the three-day packed weekend of music and much more.

Portaferry born Ryan McMullan has what Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody says is “the voice of an angel”. Folk songwriter Joshua Burnside experimental take has won him accolades such as the Northern Ireland Music Prize. Belfast singer Michael Kerr joins the lineup as he prepares to release his latest EP Treasure Chest. Whilst Rebekah Fitch’s music brings alt-pop to a wider audience, drawing comparisons with Bjork and Stevie Nicks.

Harmony Live 18, which is set to pack out Holywood, Co Down, will run from June 1-3 at the Festival Marquee in the Holywood Rugby Club grounds.

Previously known as the Holywood Harmony Festival, Harmony Live 18 will see big-name acts take to the stage at the main marquee as well as events across several venues in the town.

Last year the festival welcomed over 15,000 people into the town and organisers are expecting to top that figure this year having doubled the size of their marquee to accommodate The Boomtown Rats, Reef, Toploader and the latest announcement of the Sunday headline act, Ryan McMullan.

Festival director Mari Jackson said: “Harmony Live 2018 is set to be bigger, better and more fun with music that will reverberate across the county.

“We’re delighted we have Ryan McMullan closing the festival. Sunday is set to be an amazing lineup of the best singer songwriters Northern Ireland has to offer.

Mari said Harmony Live is more than just a music event “it’s a weekend that welcomes involvement from throughout the community” she explained, adding: “Putting Holywood firmly on the map as an exciting music and tourist destination the Harmony Live Festival supports the local economy, working with service providers, vendors and contractors in the area and improving the footfall into the town and businesses throughout the weekend.”

Tickets for The Boomtown Rats, Reef, Toploader, Ryan McMullan and more are available from,  Garry’s Barber Shop and Homebird in Holywood.
