The xx are happy to announce that this May, they will be returning to Ireland to play some intimate shows including a date at the Ulster Hall in Belfast.  It will mark the band’s first time playing a headline show in Ireland since 2018.  The band will also be returning to the UK this summer to play Parklife and All Points East festival.

The xx are Romy Madley Croft (guitar, vocals), Oliver Sim (bass, vocals) and Jamie Smith (beats, MPC, production), also known as Jamie xx. Their latest Mercury prize nominated release I See You (out now through Young Turks) incorporates all three members’ talents into a new version of their sound, one true to their roots but richer and more varied.  ‘Performance’ and ‘Brave For You’ echo The xx’s classic sound with ‘Dangerous’, ‘Say Something Loving’ and ‘On Hold’ allowing producer and DJ Smith to take more control of proceedings than previously. Icy synthesizers meld with distorted guitars, creating an advanced electro-pop experiment mixed with indie rock and R&B.

Tickets priced from £27.50 plus fees go on sale Thursday 8th March at 10am – buy yours here.
