He’s been involved in music for a long time, having played multiple shows across Belfast over the last ten years and staying in the mainland playing in England’s capital. His influences are wide and his passion is undoubted.
He is also the frontman of Larne rock outfit Patriot Ghosts and has performed his own solo shows. Get to Know Martin Connon.

What got you into music: As the youngest of four in my family, I have been surrounded by a lot of great music ranging from Patsy Cline to The Cure to The Cranberries from a young age.I grew up Listening to my mum singing in the kitchen, and as a teenager i Idolised my older brother who is an amazing guitarist, so music has always been in my blood.

Last thing I do before going on stage: For solo shows I like to keep to myself for a few minutes to focus, and for gigs with my band, Patriot Ghosts, we like to have a bit of a laugh by singing and dancing together backstage!
