Name: Graham Davidson
Where You’re From: Belfast
Last gig you attended: Last gig I attended was Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats in the Ulster Hall; before that, Black Label Society in the Limelight.
What are you listening to right now: I’m listening to a lot of music at the minute but what really stands out is an Australian band called Violent Soho. They have a few albums out and they are incredible!
Which local music do you rate: Love loads of local bands but really love the Jealous of the Birds album. Wasps put on a great show and brand new friend are a great fun live band. Hot Cops were amazing, as well loved their music!
Biggest musical influences: I take influence from all music but I suppose grunge, punk and alt rock would be my biggest influence. Nirvana, Deftones, Kerbdog, Fugazi etc, the list is endless! Oh and The Pixies; cant forget about them!
Most memorable gig as a fan: I’d have to say the Chris Cornell solo acoustic show in Ulster Hall! Massive fan and lucky to have seen Soundgarden and Audioslave but the solo show was really special!
What is your most valued material possession: It would be my Jazzmaster! She’s pretty wrecked at the minute but I love her!
Playing to 100 friends or 1000 strangers? A really hard question but I’d have to say strangers. I love looking out and seeing faces I don’t know, banging the heads to our music! If one person that has never heard of us enjoys the music means more to us than anything!
If you could learn any instrument, what would it be? If i could learn any instrument, it would have to be the sitar. I think I could be lost in that for days on end!
Favourite line from a song? Hands down, “Excuse me while I kiss the sky” from Purple Haze. Love it!
