5 Reasons You Can’t Miss Ozzy Osbourne in Dublin
It will mark nearly two years since the final show with Black Sabbath when Ozzy Osbourne arrives in Dublin for his performance at the 3Arena on 30th January 2019.
He has eleven studio albums under his belt as a solo artist and he is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a well deserved feat for such a legendary musician and rock idol.
Here are five reasons why you can’t miss Ozzy Osbourne perform in Dublin this month.
1. He Is The Godfather of Heavy Metal
He has battled alcohol and drug problems and tackled a number of lawsuits but Ozzy continued to have success follow him through the times.
His total album sales, alongside Black Sabbath, total over 100 million which rightfully earned him places in Hall of Fames around the world and a star of the Hollywood – and Birmingham – Walk of Fame.
He is the unrivalled Godfather of Heavy Metal.
2. Judas Priest supporting
To have Ozzy visit Irish shores seemed reward enough, but having very special guests Judas Priest open the show, delighted thousands of Irish music fans.
Fellow English rockers will join Ozzy for the European leg of the No More Tours II tour and even if you weren’t a massive fan of the band, it is certainly worth ticking two massive artists off your list in one go.
3. First show on European tour
Since finishing off 2018 with Ozzfest, this will be Ozzy Osbourne’s first show on his European tour. After his break from touring, Ozzy will be fresh and ready to go.
While the setlist for No More Tours II has remained pretty concrete, there might be small changes to the usual numbers. While we don’t know what’s going to be played, the chance of further additions is always welcomed.
4. Never tire of hearing iconic songs live
Bark at the Moon, Suicide Solution, Crazy Train – need I say more? The set is full of iconic songs that will live on and will be passed down generations.
And no doubt, you will see a few Sabbath numbers in there for good measure. I wonder what song could close the show?
5, Last chance to see Ozzy in Ireland?
The ‘final’ world tour was announced in June last year, entitled No More Tours II. From that title it is obvious that this has happened before with No More Tours I.
But will this show be Ozzy’s last show ever in Ireland? There’s a pretty strong chance of it. I wouldn’t want to miss it.
